Play is such a great word when thinking about art. Of course, art can be complex, have figures, be symbolic, etc!
But for me, at this moment in my career, my goal is play, aesthetics, and balance. This picture, again, doesn't do justice to the colors and the layers in this piece. The next slide captures the colors better.
I really followed my intuition and took my time with this piece. Painting a little bit, putting it down for a couple days, coming back to it, repeat… I usually am painting on 4-5 different canvases at a time, whatever one calls for its next mark I start to work on. I am finding my flow, so grateful!
